The Ailsa Barrel Bag combines a softly rounded, structured silhouette with the unmistakable texture and character of authentic Harris Tweed®.

This first Ailsa is made in Raspberry Harris Tweed®, a beautifully dimensional weave that reveals much more color up close than its name suggests. Shades of raspberry, burgundy, plum, blue, cream and subtle warm flecks are woven throughout the cloth, paired here with deep Bordeaux accents.

About Harris Tweed®

Harris Tweed is a heritage textile unlike ordinary commercially produced wool. Genuine Harris Tweed is made from pure virgin wool and handwoven by islanders at their homes in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides under standards protected by the Harris Tweed Act.

Authentic Harris Tweed carries the distinctive Orb certification mark. The Harris Tweed label displayed on the front of this Ailsa identifies the cloth as genuine Harris Tweed rather than a printed or Harris-inspired fabric.

Because it is a true woven wool textile, variations in color and texture are part of its character and help make every bag unique.
