Info about Guitar Lessons

Where do I take lessons?

For in person lessons, it’s easiest to call out to C.A. House Music in St. Clairsville. (740-695-5929). I teach in person Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. They will take your info, and I will reach out to finalize the time. If you feel Zoom is the best option, please email us, and I will reach out to schedule a time.

How much are lessons?

Lessons are $20 for a 30 minute lesson, whether in-person or via zoom. 30 minutes once a week is all that’s needed for most levels of learners; as this allows time for material to be practiced and absorbed, and avoid overload.

What ages do you teach?

I’ve have learners from ages 6/7, on up to their 70’s. It’s never too late to pick up and learn..!I advise parents will little ones <10 that the child’s drive and ability to focus is a good indicator of how productive lessons can/will be. As there are so many variables at that age. Some young one’s are extremely dedicated, and others I hope to “plant seeds”, I generally advise we try lessons for a month or two……and see how they do at dedicating themselves to practicing.

What is needed to begin learning guitar?

All that is needed for in-person, or Zoom lessons is a guitar. It can be electric, acoustic, steel or nylon string…… I’ll provide music, and materials. Style, is totally up to the learner. I want to teach you “How to play..” you are the one who best decides “what to play”…

Any other instruments taught?

I also can get a learner started on Ukulele, Bass, Banjo, or Mandolin….most things with plucked strings….
